Why Hari? . . . Because Hari is the nick name that we used to talk about our second child who has been in our hearts and dreams for a very long time.

I am a new gardener in Madison, Wisconsin, having come from the 'far' reaches of zone 6. Spring '08 is the first time I get to see what the last gardener left behind which is lots and lots of plants but without a discernable design.

- 26-27Aug(Sat-Sun) Tour the Great Wall, Summer Palace & Forbidden City, plus get over jet lag!
- 28Aug (Mon) Morning: Fly to Nanchang, Jiangxi Province. Afternoon: Meet Xiao Zhi Kuang
- 29Aug (Tues) Complete adoption of Julia ZhiKuang Buchko Schanker
- 30Aug-1Sept (Wed-Fri) Explore Nanchang & possibly visit Julias orphanage
- 2Sept (Sat) Afternoon: Fly to Guangzhou
- 3-6Sept (Sun-Wed) Apply for USA Visa for Julia, take citizenship oath & tour Guangzhou
- 6Sept (Wed) Evening: Take train to Hong Kong
- 7-9Sept (Thurs-Sat) Tour Hong Kong
- 9 Sept (Sat) Leave for home
- 10 Sept (Sun) Land in Newark, Julia becomes a USA citizen & fly home to Indy

- 01 Aug: TA - Travel Approval from China
- 24 Aug: We Leave for China!
- 28 Aug: We meet Xaio Zhi Kuang
- 29 Aug: Adoption day for Julia ZhiKuang

Hi. I'm just catching up on your trip. Julia looks so sweet! I'm glad she is adjusting well to her new family. All the pictures are great.
Hello. Your daughter is lovely, with a beautiful spirit to match. My husband and I were recently matched with a baby girl from the same orphanage "I think"...Xiajiang County. She is 14 mo and would have been there when Julia was. Did you visit the facility. Might you have seen her? Please reply to me if you would be willing to help. Thanks.
